So he is all grown up now and it is evident that your toddler definitely has a personality of his own! At least you can still make a few decisions for him such as his big boy bed. The bedding with the themed bulldozers may be another thing...
Furniture is not only a big decision, but usually quite an expense as well. There are many factors to consider when choosing the perfect bed for your little man. How big is he? A child that has always been in the 95% in height, may need a full or queen size bed from the beginning. Don't make the mistake of purchasing a twin, only to outgrow it in two years. A trundle bed might not be comfortable in a few years for the taller child since there are no box springs. A full or queen size bed may make more sense for this child depending on the size of the room.
For another child, a trundle is perfect for sleepovers with friends or to use as a safe landing (pulled out) when the child is first moving from crib to big kid bed.
Do you like the look of the headboard and footboard? Again, consider the height of the child. A footboard may end up restricting movement in the night for a taller child. If you still like the look, consider a toy box or bench at the foot of the bed.
GiggleBrush Designs offers a great selection of boy's beds like these headboards from Serena and Lily or these trundle beds from Bratt Decor.
